Premier league clubs are reportedly chasing the signature of Athletico Madrid midfielder, Thomas Partey. The Ghanian international has been in fine form over the last couple of seasons for both his club and his country at international games for Ghana.
As per Libertad Digital, Athletico Madrid newspaper, Arsenal football club are willing to pay Thomas Partey release clause of €50 million in the summer, should Athletico Madrid be tempted to part ways with their influential midfield player. The report also states that, the player and his representatives are in negotiations with Athletico Madrid over a new deal but are not close to agreeing anything at the moment.
Athletico Madrid, however, have interest in signing Arsenal striker, Alexandre Lacazette in the summer also, so a deal between the two football clubs could be on the cards, if both clubs are happy with parting ways with their priced assets.
Liverpool and Manchester United have also shown interest in signing the player in recent weeks as clubs begin underground work to reinforce their teams ahead of 2020/21 season. It is still very unclear, the club in pole position to get the signature of the player, but will be made clear as time goes by. The midfielder has been putting on some nice displays in LaLiga and the champions league in recent times.
