Sachin Tendulkar will not celebrate his 47th birthday, in honour of COVID-19 pandemic warriors.

The former India Skipper had already donated to a couple of relief funds in India and he is also helping with the feeding of at least 5,000 people in two areas of Mumbai.

Cricket Legend, Sachin Tendulkar, whose birthday is supposed to be on 24th April, has decided not to celebrate his 47th birthday in respect for the COVID-19 warriors, who have been leading the fight against the deadly virus.

A source close to the cricket legend said, “Sachin has decided that this is not a time for celebrations. He feels that this is the best tribute he can pay to all the doctors, nurses, paramedics, policemen, defence personnel who are at the frontline.”

The cricket icon and legend had earlier in the month donated Rs 25 lakh each to PM and CM relief fund and has paid for the ration of at least 5,000 people in the province of Mumbai.

Many sports icons, legends, past and present, have contributed greatly in the fight against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, ranging from buying hospital equipments, feeding the vulnerable, buying of drinks and other essentials and cash donations.

The legendary batsman will still be celebrated by his fanbase with many of them already planning on how to celebrate their idol on social media by showing his numerous work for charity and his help so far in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
