Several players have either scored over twenty goals in a single league season or assisted twenty or more goals in a single league season in European top five leagues.
Kevin De Bryne has assisted twenty goals in a single league season before and is well on his way to achieve it yet again this current campaign with Manchester City. His 20 assist record in the Bundesliga was only bettered by Thomas Muller this past season in the Bundesliga.
Xavi also recorded twenty assist for Barcelona in the 2008/2009 season. Assist machines like Cesc Fabregas and Mesut Ozil only fall short of the 20+ mark most times.
Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Mohammed Sallah, score over twenty goals in a single league season for fun but have never matched it with close to twenty assists.
However, only two players have ever managed to achieve this feet in the top five European Leagues in recent football history.
