Liverpool captain speaking to other Premier League captains to raise a Premier League COVID-19 crisis fund.

The crisis fund will raise millions of pounds for the NHS as they battle to combat the crisis which has swept round the globe.

Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson is planning a COVID-19 fund to assist the NHS. The target funds would run into millions of pounds.

In the past few days, the England international has been making contacts with fellow captains to come up with the fund raiser.

It will be similar to the fund raiser in LaLiga were millions were raised to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fund raiser being planned and organized by Henderson has been in the pipes for days now, even before Premier league players came under criticism by the Secretary of State for Health in the United Kingdom, Matt Hancock, who said, top flight players should play their part by accepting pay cut and also raising funds.

Earlier today, Manchester United first team players became the first Premier league team to voluntarily take a pay cut to assist the NHS with 30% of their wages for one month.

Jordan Henderson’s talks with Premier League captains continued today and it has gone on well, with players ready to assist medical workers in the fight against the deadly COVID-19.
